Although there is no formal, full-time emergency medical service, please dial 911 if you are in any type of emergency. Please note that the 911 Address for the Flying Bridge is:

Friends of Monhegan Volunteer Fire Department (FOMVFD) launched Monhegan First Aid (MFA) and have recruited licensed medical volunteers to staff a first aid station located across from the Monhegan Store. Click here to learn more about limited walk-in hours and conditions available for treatment.

Weather
Whether you’re hiking, boating, fishing, kayaking, or touring the museum and artist studios, it’s a good idea to know the weather and tide conditions before starting your day.
Monhegan Wildlands...
There is a lot to enjoy in the Monhegan Wildlands. To find your way, purchase a trail map at your ferry, the Ropeshed, or various places throughout the island. The Monhegan Nature Guide is also available for purchase online.
Monhegan Associates has a “Leave no Trace” policy and discourages any alteration or additions to its wildlands. Please observe the following guidelines:
Carry in, carry out for you and your pet. There are no public trash receptacles.
No wheeled vehicles are allowed on the hiking trails, including strollers, dirt bikes, bicycles, and ATVs.
The use of drones in the wildlands is prohibited.
Camping and technical climbing are not allowed.
Fires are prohibited.
Smoking is prohibited.
Pets must be leashed under Maine State law.
Kayaking on the backside is not safe.
Resources are vulnerable, please be mindful of your consumption including water and electricity.
